Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy (3DCRT)
This technology-driven planning technique utilizes diagnostic-quality CAT or CT images to create your customized treatment plan. Using multiple-shaped beams from different angles, 3DCRT accounts for changes in a patient's contours and the density variations within the body.
Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
This advanced, high-precision planning technique utilizes sophisticated software and hardware to vary the shape and intensity of radiation delivered to different parts of the treatment area. Treatment is carefully planned using 3D CT images in conjunction with computerized dose calculations to determine the dose intensity pattern to best conform to your tumor shape.
Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
IGRT uses imaging technology, such as X-ray, ultrasound, or optical imaging, to direct the delivery of radiation. Often used in conjunction with IMRT, IGRT is used to treat tumors in areas of the body prone to movement, such as the lungs and prostate gland, as well tumors located close to critical organs and tissues.
